In the IPL 2025 Eliminator played at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh, Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 20 runs to enter Qualifier 2.

MI batted first and scored 228/5, in response to which GT could only score 208/6 in 20 overs.
With this win, MI will now take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 2 on June 1, 2025 in Ahmedabad, where it will be a tough fight to make it to the final.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have already reached the final by winning Qualifier 1.

Decisive moment of the match
The turning point of the match was the 16th over, when Richard Gleeson dismissed Sai Sudharsan (80) to reduce Gujarat to 170/4. Trent Boult then dismissed Sherfane Rutherford (24) in the 18th over, dashing Gujarat’s hopes of a win.
Rahul Tewatia (16* runs, 11 balls) and Rashid Khan (0* runs, 2 balls) in the final over could not get close to the target, and MI won by 20 runs.
Qualifier 2: Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians
With this win for MI, they will now take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 2 on June 1, 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
PBKS had lost against RCB in Qualifier 1 after being all out for 101 runs. The winner of this match will play the final against RCB in Ahmedabad on June 3, 2025.
