    Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 39 runs in the 39th match of IPL 2025 played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

    Gujarat batted first and scored 198/3 in 20 overs, in response to which Kolkata could only score 159/8 in 20 overs.

    Shubman Gill’s 90 and Jos Buttler’s unbeaten 41 laid the foundation for Gujarat’s victory, while Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna’s bowling kept Kolkata under pressure.

    First innings: Gujarat Titans 198/3 (20 overs)

    Gujarat got off to a great start, with Sai Sudarshan (52 runs, 36 balls) and captain Shubman Gill (90 runs, 55 balls) sharing a 114-run partnership for the first wicket.

    After Sudharsan’s dismissal, Jos Buttler (41* runs, 23 balls) scored runs quickly while Rahul Tewatia (0) and Shahrukh Khan (11*) eventually took the score to 198.

    Andre Russell, Vaibhav Arora, and Harshit Rana took a wicket each for Kolkata but the bowlers proved to be expensive.
