    IPL 2025: GT beats SRH by 7 wickets due to brilliant batting of Shubman Gill and Siraj’s wicket

    In the 19th match of IPL 2025 played in Hyderabad, Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets. GT achieved the target of 153 runs given by SRH in just 16.4 overs.  

    1st innings: Sunrisers Hyderabad score 152/8 (20 overs)

    Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), batting first, scored 152/8, but this score was not enough to win.  

    The team had a bad start and Travis Head (8) was out in the first over itself. Abhishek Sharma (18) and Ishan Kishan (17) also returned to the pavilion early.  

    Nitish Kumar Reddy (31) and Heinrich Klaasen (27) tried to handle the innings, but wickets kept falling at regular intervals. In the end, Pat Cummins (22*) batted fast, but the brilliant bowling of Mohammed Siraj (4/17) prevented SRH from making a big score.

    • Heinrich Klaasen – 27 runs (19 balls, 2 fours, 1 six)

    • Mohammad Siraj – 4 overs, 17 runs, 4 wickets  
    • Sai Kishore – 4 overs, 24 runs, 2 wickets  
    • Prasidh Krishna – 4 overs, 25 runs, 2 wickets  
    • Rashid Khan – 4 overs, 31 runs, 0 wickets  
    • Ishant Sharma – 4 overs, 53 runs, 0 wickets  

    2nd innings: Gujarat Titans achieved the target in 16.4 overs (153/3)

    While chasing the target, Gujarat Titans lost the wickets of Sai Sudarshan (5) and Jos Buttler (0) early in the beginning.  

    However, Shubman Gill (61*) and Washington Sundar (49) took over the innings with a brilliant partnership. In the end, Sherfane Rutherford (35*) batted fast and helped the team win by 7 wickets in 16.4 overs.  

    Among the SRH bowlers, Mohammed Shami (2/28) struggled, but the rest of the bowlers could not create pressure.

    The decisive moment of the match:

    The decisive moment of the match came with a brilliant bowling performance from Mohammed Siraj in the 18th over of the first innings when he dismissed Aniket Verma (18) LBW and Simarjeet Singh (0) to reduce SRH to 135/8.

    Sherfan Rutherford’s two consecutive fours in the 16th over of the second innings ensured a win for GT, and the team reached the target in 16.4 overs.
