    IPL 2025: KKR defeated SRH by 80 runs due to the brilliant batting of Iyer and Angkrish

    In the 15th match of IPL 2025 played in Kolkata, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 80 runs. SRH was all out for 120 runs in 16.4 overs against the target of 201 runs given by KKR.

    1st innings: Kolkata Knight Riders score 200/6 (20 overs)

    Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), batting first, scored 200/6, which proved to be a strong score to win.

    The team had a bad start and Quinton de Kock (1) was out in the very first over. After this, Sunil Narine (7) also quickly returned to the pavilion.

    However, Ajinkya Rahane (38) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi (50) took over the innings. After this, Venkatesh Iyer (60) and Rinku Singh (32) batted fast and took the score to 200. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowlers struggled as Pat Cummins (1/44) and Mohammed Shami (1/29) struggled.

    • Mohammed Shami – 4 overs, 29 runs, 1 wicket
    • Pat Cummins – 4 overs, 44 runs, 1 wicket
    • Harshal Patel – 4 overs, 43 runs, 1 wicket
    • Zeeshan Ansari – 3 overs, 25 runs, 1 wicket
    • Kamindu Mendis – 1 over, 4 runs, 1 wicket

    2nd innings: Sunrisers Hyderabad all out in 16.4 overs (120/10)

    Sunrisers Hyderabad had a very bad start while chasing the target. Travis Head (4), Abhishek Sharma (2) and Ishan Kishan (2) were out early.

    Kamindu Mendis (27) and Heinrich Klaasen (33) tried to control the innings for some time, but due to the excellent bowling of Vaibhav Arora (3/29) and Varun Chakraborty (3/22), the team was reduced to 120 runs in 16.4 overs.

    KKR won brilliantly by 80 runs.

    Decisive moment of the Match:

    The decisive moment of the match came in the 10th over when SRH’s innings completely fell apart after the dismissal of Kamindu Mendis (27).

    Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakraborty took consecutive wickets, and Hyderabad’s defeat was certain when Klaasen (33) was dismissed in the 15th over. The team was all out in 16.4 overs and lost by 80 runs.
