    Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 33 runs in the 64th match of IPL 2025 played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

    Lucknow Super Giants batted first and scored 235/2 in 20 overs, in response to which Gujarat Titans could only score 202/9 in 20 overs.

    Brilliant performances from Mitchell Marsh (117), Nicholas Pooran (56*), and William O’Rourke (3/27) played an important role in Lucknow’s victory.

    LSG Secure 33-Run Win Over GT

    1st innings: Lucknow Super Giants 235/2 (20 overs)

    Lucknow got off to a great start, with Mitchell Marsh (117 runs, 64 balls) and Aiden Markram (36 runs, 24 balls) sharing a 91-run partnership for the first wicket.

    After Markram’s dismissal, Marsh and Nicholas Pooran (56* runs, 27 balls) shared a 121-run partnership for the second wicket. Captain Rishabh Pant (16* runs, 6 balls) scored quickly in the end to take the score to 235.

    For Gujarat, Sai Kishore (1/34) and Mohammad Arshad Khan (1/36) took one wicket each, but the other bowlers proved expensive.

    Chasing a mammoth target of 236 runs, Gujarat got off to a good start but Sai Sudharsan (21 runs, 16 balls) and Shubman Gill (35 runs, 20 balls) were dismissed early. Jos Buttler (33 runs, 18 balls) and Sherfane Rutherford (38 runs, 22 balls) tried to handle the innings.

    Shahrukh Khan (57 runs, 29 balls) scored a quick half-century but William O’Rourke (3/27) and Ayush Badoni (2/4) took wickets in successive overs to restrict Gujarat to 202/9.

    The decisive moment of the match came in the 19th over, when Ayush Badoni dismissed Kagiso Rabada (2) and Sai Kishore (1) on consecutive balls to reduce Gujarat to 202/9.

    The double blow completely dashed Gujarat’s hopes of a win as Lucknow registered a comfortable 33-run win.
