Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 12 runs in the 29th match of IPL 2025 played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Mumbai batted first and scored 205/5, in response to which Delhi’s team collapsed for 193 runs in 19 overs.

Mumbai Indians got off to a good start. Rohit Sharma (18) was dismissed early, but Ryan Rickelton (41) and Suryakumar Yadav (40) handled the innings.

Delhi got off to a poor start while chasing a target of 206 runs, When Jake Fraser-McGurk (0) was out on the first ball.
Karun Nair (89) handled the innings by hitting 12 fours and 5 sixes in a brilliant 40 balls, but Abhishek Porel (33) and KL Rahul (15) could not provide much support. Continuous runouts and wickets in the last overs sealed Delhi’s defeat.

The decisive moment of the match came in the 11th over Delhi’s innings suffered a major blow when Mitchell Santner dismissed Karun Nair (89).
Karn Sharma then dismissed KL Rahul (15) and Tristan Stubbs (1) in the 15th over to reduce Delhi to 160/6.
Three consecutive runouts (Ashutosh Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohit Sharma) in the final over sealed Delhi’s defeat as Mumbai won the thrilling match by 12 runs.
