    Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 4 Wickets in the 33rd match of IPL 2025 played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

    Sunrisers batted first and scored 162/5 in 20 overs, in response to which Mumbai scored 166/6 in 18.1 overs to win a thrilling victory. Pat Cummins’ brilliant bowling (3/26) broke the back of Sunrisers.

    First innings: Sunrisers Hyderabad score 162/5 (20 overs)

    Sunrisers Hyderabad got off to a good start, with Abhishek Sharma (40) scoring runs quickly. Travis Head (28) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (19) handled the innings, but the score was limited due to wickets falling at regular intervals.

    Heinrich Klaasen (37) and Aniket Verma (18*) accelerated in the end to take the score to 162.

    For Mumbai, Will Jacks (2/14) and Jasprit Bumrah (1/21) bowled brilliantly while Trent Boult and Hardik Pandya took a wicket each.

    Second innings: Mumbai Indians 166/6 (18.1 overs)

    Chasing a target of 163 runs Mumbai had a good start. Ryan Rickelton (31) and Rohit Sharma (26) gave a quick start.

    Will Jacks (36) and Suryakumar Yadav (26) took the innings forward in the middle overs. Hardik Pandya (21) and N. Tilak Varma (21*) batted aggressively in the end and ensured victory in 18.1 overs.

    Pat Cummins (3/26) and Ishan Malinga (2/36) bowled brilliantly for Sunrisers, but the rest of the bowlers proved to be expensive.

    The decisive moment of the match came in the 14th over of the second innings, when Pat Cummins dismissed Will Jacks (36) to reduce Mumbai to 128/4. Cummins then dismissed Suryakumar Yadav (26) in the 17th over to make the contest exciting.

    However, N. Tilak Verma and Mitchell Santner remained unbeaten and scored the winning runs off Zeeshan Ansari in the 18.1 over to give Mumbai a 4-run win.
