    Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets in the 41st match of IPL 2025 played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

    Sunrisers batted first and scored 143/8 in 20 overs, in response to which Mumbai scored 146/3 in 15.4 overs thanks to Rohit Sharma’s 70 and Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 40 to register an easy win.

    First innings: Sunrisers Hyderabad 143/8 (20 overs)

    Sunrisers got off to a bad start, with Travis Head (0), Ishan Kishan (1), and Nitish Kumar Reddy (2) getting out early. Abhishek Sharma (8) also could not score many runs.

    Heinrich Klaasen (71 runs, 44 balls) and Abhinav Manohar (43 runs, 37 balls) took charge of the innings with a 99-run partnership for the sixth wicket. However, Trent Boult took two wickets in the final overs to keep the score in check.

    For Mumbai, Trent Boult (4/26) was the most successful bowler, while Deepak Chahar (2/12), Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each.

    Chasing a target of 144 runs Mumbai lost Ryan Rickelton (11) early. Rohit Sharma (70 runs, 46 balls) and Will Jacks (22) added 64 runs for the second wicket. After Rohit’s dismissal, Suryakumar Yadav (40* runs, 19 balls) and N. Tilak Varma (2*) achieved the target in 15.4 overs.

    Jaydev Unadkat, Ishan Malinga, and Zeeshan Ansari took a wicket each for Sunrisers, but the bowlers could not build pressure.

    The decisive moment of the match came in the 15th over of the second innings, when Suryakumar Yadav took the wicket of Ishan He hit two consecutive fours and a six against Malinga, which brought Mumbai closer to victory.

    In the 15.4th over, Suryakumar hit a four off Zeeshan Ansari’s ball to give Mumbai a 7-wicket win.
