    Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 6 wickets in the 26th match of IPL 2025 played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

    Gujarat batted first and scored 180/6, which Lucknow achieved in 19.3 overs for the loss of 4 wickets.

    First innings: Gujarat Titans score 180/6 (20 overs)

    Gujarat Titans got off to a great start. Sai Sudarshan (56) and captain Shubman Gill (60) shared a 120-run partnership for the first wicket. However, in the middle overs, Ravi Bishnoi (2/36) and Shardul Thakur (2/34) put Gujarat under pressure by taking wickets in succession.

    Jos Buttler (16) and Sherfane Rutherford (22) managed to add some runs but Lucknow’s bowling in the final overs restricted the score to 180.

    2nd innings: Lucknow Super Giants achieved the target in 19.3 overs (186/4)


    Chasing the target of 181 runs, Lucknow had an aggressive start. Aiden Markram (58) and Rishabh Pant (21) added 65 runs for the first wicket.

    Nicholas Pooran (61) accelerated the innings with the help of 7 sixes in 34 balls. Ayush Badoni (28*) remained unbeaten and ensured victory in the end.

    For Gujarat, Prasidh Krishna (2/26) took wickets in the beginning, but his bowling was ineffective in front of Nicholas Pooran’s stormy batting.

    Defining Moment of the Match 13th over of the first innings The big breakthrough came in the 19.3 over when Ravi Bishnoi had Sai Sudharsan (56) caught by Nicholas Pooran and then bowled Washington Sundar (2) in the very next over to put Gujarat’s innings under pressure.

    In the second innings, Nicholas Pooran’s consecutive sixes against Rashid Khan in the 15th over put Lucknow on the path to victory. Ayush Badoni hit the winning runs in the 19.3rd over to ensure a 6-wicket win.
