In the 65th match of IPL 2025 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener Phil Salt created a stir on the field with explosive batting against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Chasing SRH’s huge score of 231/6, RCB scored 142/3 in 12.1 overs, in which Salt’s innings of 62 runs (32 balls, 4 fours, 5 sixes) caught everyone’s attention.
Salt took an aggressive approach in the powerplay and thrashed the SRH bowlers. His innings with a strike rate of 193.75 included 5 sixes, which were important in giving RCB a quick start.
His 80-run partnership with Virat Kohli (43 runs) put RCB in a strong position.
However, Pat Cummins gave relief to SRH by dismissing him in the 11.2nd over.

SRH scored 231/6 thanks to Ishan Kishan (94) and Heinrich Klaasen (24).
RCB now need 90 runs in 47 balls, and Rajat Patidar (7) and Jitesh Sharma (7) are at the crease.
