    Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 9 wickets in the 28th match of IPL 2025 played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

    Rajasthan batted first and scored 173/4, which RCB achieved in 17.3 overs for the loss of only 1 wicket. Phil Salt was adjudged the Player of the Match for his explosive innings of 65 runs.

    First innings: Rajasthan Royals score 173/4 (20 overs)

    Rajasthan Royals got off to a good start, with Yashasvi Jaiswal (75) hitting a brilliant half-century. However, captain Sanju Samson (15) could not score many runs.

    Riyan Parag (30) and Dhruv Jurel (35) made useful contributions in the middle and final overs. Shimron Hetmyer (9) and Nitish Rana (4) tried to accelerate in the end but RCB bowling restricted the score to 173.

    For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/32), Yash Dayal (1/36), Josh Hazlewood (1/26) and Krunal Pandya (1/29) took one wicket each.

    • Yashasvi Jaiswal – 75 runs (47 balls, 10 fours, 2 sixes)
    • Dhruv Jurel – 35* runs (23 balls, 2 fours, 2 sixes)
    • Riyan Parag – 30 runs (22 balls, 3 fours, 1 six)
    • Sanju Samson – 15 runs (19 balls, 1 four, 0 sixes)

    • Bhuvneshwar Kumar – 4 overs, 32 runs, 1 wicket
    • Yash Dayal – 4 overs, 36 runs, 1 wicket
    • Josh Hazlewood – 3 overs, 26 runs, 1 wicket
    • Krunal Pandya – 4 overs, 29 runs, 1 wicket
    • Suyash Sharma – 4 overs, 39 runs, 0 wickets

    Second innings: Royal Challengers Bangalore achieved the target in 17.3 overs (175/1)

    RCB had a stormy start chasing the target of 174 runs. Phil Salt (65) gave a quick start to the innings by hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes in 33 balls.

    Virat Kohli (62) scored a brilliant half-century and along with Devdutt Padikkal (40) remained unbeaten to ensure victory in 17.3 overs.

    For Rajasthan, only Kumar Karthikeya Singh (1/25) could take wickets, while bowlers like Jofra Archer (0/36) and Wanindu Hasaranga (0/33) proved expensive.

    Defining moment of the match:

    The decisive moment of the match came in the 15th over of the first innings when Josh Hazlewood dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal (75) LBW out, which put a break on Rajasthan’s run rate.

    In the second innings, Phil Salt’s stormy innings of 65 runs before getting out in the 8th over put RCB in a strong position.

    After this, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal without any trouble scored the winning runs in the 17.3rd over and won a spectacular victory by 9 wickets.
