IPL 2025: England’s legendary cricketer Liam Livingstone has made a big announcement for IPL 2025, he is fully excited to play in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Liam Livingstone’s journey: How did you get into RCB?
Over the years, Liam has played with several teams in the IPL. His journey started with Rajasthan Royals in 2019, then spent several seasons with Punjab Kings. Now he has got a chance to play in RCB.
In his IPL career so far, Liam has scored 827 runs. His average strike rate is quite impressive.
RCB bought him for Rs. 11.5 crore. It’s a big deal that shows how much confidence the team has in Liam. His power-hitting and all-round game caught the attention of many teams.
As soon as he joined RCB, Liam Livingstone opened up about his opinion about Punjab.
Livingstone says the stadium in Bangalore will be the perfect place for him to play. He, however, joked that it was better than the one in Punjab but a little smaller than some other stadiums in India.
The experience of playing alongside legends like Virat Kohli in the team will be extremely exciting for Livingstone. He admitted that watching the likes of Kohli and AB de Villiers on TV has always been a different experience. Now he is excited to get on the field with them.
Apart from Livingstone, RCB also bought Phil Salt for Rs 11.5 crore in the auction, which shows that the team has bet big on English players. Livingstone believes that the team has selected the players very smartly and he believes that it is a strong combination.
However, Livingstone also made it clear that success will require hard work and the right preparation. His goal is not only to make a place in the team, but also to make a significant contribution in getting RCB its first IPL title.
Liam’s arrival at RCB is a new hope for the team. His all-round game, hitting ability and creative thinking can prove to be a big asset for the team. Led by Virat Kohli, along with Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone, RCB have become the overwhelming favourites in the eyes of many this season.
