In the eighth match of IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 50 runs.
RCB batted first and scored a strong score of 196/7. In response, the CSK team could only score 146/8.

RCB’s brilliant batting – Captain Patidar’s half-century
Royal Challengers Bangalore had an aggressive start. The openers scored fast runs and put the team in a strong position.
Phil Salt played fast shots in the early overs, while Virat Kohli handled the innings with some attractive strokes.
In the middle order, captain Rajat Patidar batted brilliantly and did not give any chance to the opposition bowlers. His batting showed a great mix of aggression and balance.
At the same time, Tim David strengthened the score by batting fast in the end.

Chennai Super Kings’ start was not as expected. After early wickets fell, the team came under pressure.
Rachin Ravindra showed struggle and tried to stay at the crease, but wickets kept falling from the other side.
In the middle order, Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni tried to take charge. Dhoni did hit some big shots in his old style, but due to lack of support from other batsmen, the team remained far away from the target.
