Sandeep Sharma has spoken out against Riyan Parag’s leadership. The team has lost five matches in a row now. Players seem unhappy with the RR captaincy situation.

Sandeep Sharma is not happy with how Riyan Parag leads. The team lost to RCB by 11 runs yesterday. This was their fifth straight loss in IPL 2025.
Regular captain Sanju Samson is out with an injury. Riyan Parag has been leading the team during this time. The players feel something is wrong with RR’s captaincy these days.
“Obviously, his absence has been felt. He’s a very experienced captain and player, and as a batsman, he’s very smart. So yes, his absence has definitely been felt. He didn’t captain the first three matches, and after that, he got a side injury again. Obviously, all this is costing us. All these things have come together and are pulling the team down,” Sandeep said.
Sanju’s Injury Troubles
Sanju started the season with a finger problem. He could only bat in the first three games. Riyan Parag was made captain during those matches.
Sanju came back and led the team for three games. Then he hurt his ribs against Delhi Capitals on April 16. He had to leave the field after scoring 31 runs.
This new injury kept him out for more matches. The team has been losing without their main leader. Sanju has 224 runs with a good strike rate this season.
What Riyan Updates About Sanju
Riyan Parag gave an update about Sanju before the RCB match. He said Sanju is still recovering from his injury. Nobody knows when he will come back.
Rajasthan is now eighth on the points table. They have only won two out of nine games. Sandeep Sharma thinks the team needs better direction.
Playoff Chances Look Slim
RR gave away 205 runs to RCB in their last match. Virat and Padikkal scored big for RCB that day. Jaiswal and Jurel tried hard but could not win.
This was their seventh loss in IPL 2025. They need to win all remaining games now. One more loss will end their playoff dreams.
Sandeep Sharma wants the team to fix their problems quickly. Riyan Parag must improve his RR captaincy style. The team needs to stick together during this tough time.
