    Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 6 wickets in the 61st match of IPL 2025 played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

    Lucknow Super Giants batted first and scored 205/7 in 20 overs, in response to which Sunrisers Hyderabad won by scoring 206/4 in 18.2 overs.

    Brilliant performances from Abhishek Sharma (59), Heinrich Klaasen (47), and Ishan Malinga (2/28) played a key role in Hyderabad’s victory.

    1st innings: Lucknow Super Giants 205/7 (20 overs)

    Lucknow got off to a great start, with Mitchell Marsh (65 runs, 39 balls) and Aiden Markram (61 runs, 38 balls) sharing a 115-run partnership for the first wicket.

    Captain Rishabh Pant (7 runs, 6 balls) and Ayush Badoni (3 runs, 5 balls) were out early. Nicholas Pooran (45 runs, 26 balls) played a quick innings, but the score was reduced to 205/7 due to the runouts of Shardul Thakur (4) and Abdul Samad (3) in the last overs.

    Ishan Malinga (2/28), Harshal Patel (1/49), and Nitish Kumar Reddy (1/28) took wickets for Hyderabad.

    Target of 206 runs Hyderabad started off fast in their chase, but Atharva Tayde (13 runs, 9 balls) was out early. Abhishek Sharma (59 runs, 20 balls) and Ishan Kishan (35 runs, 28 balls) shared an 82-run partnership for the second wicket.

    Heinrich Klaasen (47 runs, 28 balls) and Kamindu Mendis (32 runs, 21 balls, retired hurt) took the innings forward. In the end, Aniket Verma (5) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (5) remained unbeaten and led the team to victory in 18.2 overs.

    For Lucknow, Digvesh Singh (2/37) and Shardul Thakur (1/39) took wickets, but other bowlers proved expensive.

    This aggressive innings put pressure on the Lucknow bowlers, and Hyderabad registered a stunning victory by 6 wickets in 18.2 overs.
