Rajasthan Royals (RR) kept their playoff hopes alive by defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by 8 wickets in the 47th match of IPL 2025 played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Gujarat batted first and scored 209/4 in 20 overs, but Rajasthan won by scoring 212/2 in 15.5 overs thanks to the brilliant innings of Vaibhav Suryavanshi (101 runs, 38 balls) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (69* runs, 39 balls).

Gujarat got off to a great start, with Sai Sudarshan (39 runs, 30 balls) and captain Shubman Gill (84 runs, 50 balls) sharing a 93-run partnership for the first wicket.
Jos Buttler (50* runs, 26 balls) batted aggressively in the middle and final overs, while Rahul Tewatia (9) and Washington Sundar (13) played short but quick knocks.
For Rajasthan, Mahesh Teekshna (2/35) was the most successful bowler, while Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma took one wicket each.

Chasing a huge target of 210 runs, Rajasthan got off to an explosive start. 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a century of 101 runs in 38 balls, including 7 fours and 11 sixes, and broke the record for the youngest half-century in IPL.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (70* runs, 40 balls) gave him great support. Both of them shared a 166-run partnership for the first wicket. Riyan Parag (32*) remained unbeaten in the end to ensure victory.
Prasidh Krishna and Rashid Khan took one wicket each for Gujarat, but the bowlers proved to be expensive.

The decisive moment of the match came in the first four overs, when Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal launched an aggressive attack on the Gujarat bowlers, with Vaibhav hitting consecutive sixes against Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj.
Vaibhav scored 21 runs against Washington Sundar in the fifth over to complete his half-century in 17 balls, taking Rajasthan to 81/0. This start put pressure on Gujarat, and Rajasthan won by 8 wickets with Yashasvi’s four in the 15.5th over.
