Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) star all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has strongly rejected the rumours that he may leave his team and join another franchise.
This 22-year-old young player spoke openly on social media and assured the fans that his heart is with SRH.

What is the whole matter?
For the last few days, there were reports in the media that Nitish may say goodbye to SRH before the 2026 IPL season.
Some people even said that he is planning to leave this team captained by Pat Cummins and join a new franchise. But Nitish completely denied all these things.
He wrote on ‘X’ on Sunday, “I tend to stay away from the noise, but some things deserve clarity. My connection with SRH is built on trust, respect, and years of shared passion.
I’ll always stand by this team. 🧡”
Reading this statement made the fans happy. This statement of Nitish not only shows his loyalty, but also tells how much he was upset with the rumors.
Nitish rose in IPL 2024, fell a bit in IPL 2025
Nitish performed brilliantly for SRH in the 2024 IPL season. His batting and bowling caught everyone’s attention, after which he got a place in the T20I team against Bangladesh and the Test team in Australia.
He surprised everyone by scoring a century at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
But the 2025 IPL season was nothing special for him. He scored only 182 runs in 13 matches, that too with an average of 22.75 and a strike rate of 118.95. He could also take only two wickets in bowling.
Out in the 4th Test against England
Recently, Nitish suffered a knee injury before the fourth Test against England in Manchester, due to which he was ruled out of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
The BCCI issued a statement saying, “All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining two Test matches due to a left knee injury. Nitish will return home, and the team wishes him a speedy recovery.”
In the two Tests played in England, Nitish scored 45 runs and took three wickets. Shardul Thakur was included in the team in his place.
Currently, due to the injury, Nitish will not be able to play in the Duleep Trophy as well.
But his fans are confident that the young star will soon make a comeback on the field.
