RCB’s Explosive Batting: Salt and Patidar Steal the Show
RCB got off to a blistering start, with Phil Salt smashing 78 runs off just 36 balls. His innings featured 6 fours and 6 sixes.
Virat Kohli also played a composed innings of 50 runs, but the true game-changer proved to be captain Rajat Patidar.

In the final overs, Tim David contributed 34 runs off 16 balls, propelling the total score to 240.
MI’s bowlers proved quite expensive in this match particularly Mayank Markande and Shardul Thakur, who both conceded runs at a very high economy rate.
Rutherford’s Fight in Vain; MI Falls Short
Chasing a daunting target of 241 runs, MI got off to a decent start; however, the team suffered a major blow when Rohit Sharma had to “retire hurt” due to an injury.
While Ryan Rickelton (37) and Suryakumar Yadav (33) made valiant efforts, the team’s real hope emerged in Sherfane Rutherford. Rutherford played a blistering innings of 71 runs off just 31 balls, which included 9 sixes.
Hardik Pandya also contributed 40 runs, but the remaining batsmen failed to make significant contributions.
RCB bowler Suyash Sharma turned the tide of the match by claiming 2 wickets, while Krunal Pandya and Jacob Duffy also picked up crucial wickets.
MI needed quick runs in the final overs, but RCB’s bowling kept them in check and clinched the match by 18 runs.
