The 10th match of the Indian Premier League 2026, between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants, is currently being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a total of 156 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Now, Lucknow Super Giants require 157 runs in 20 overs to win the match.
Klaasen and Nitish Reddy Stabilize SRH’s Innings
The Sunrisers got off to a very poor start. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for a duck (0 runs), while Travis Head also returned to the pavilion after scoring just 7 runs.
Following this, Captain Ishan Kishan could only manage to score 1 run.
In the middle order, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy stepped up to stabilize the team’s innings. Batting brilliantly, Klaasen scored 62 runs off 41 balls, an innings that included 5 fours and 2 sixes.
Meanwhile, Nitish Reddy smashed 56 runs off 33 balls, hitting 3 fours and 5 sixes.
Thanks to the efforts of these two batsmen, the SRH team appeared to be heading towards a massive total at one stage.
However, in the 18th over, Lucknow’s fast bowler Avesh Khan claimed the most crucial wicket of the match.
Klaasen attempted to play a reverse shot, but the ball took an edge off his bat and flew straight into the hands of wicketkeeper-captain Rishabh Pant. Pant executed a magnificent dive to his right to complete a spectacular catch.
Sharing this moment in an official IPL post, it was captioned: “Avesh Khan disrupts #SRH’s momentum 😤 Back to back wickets including a fine catch by skipper Rishabh Pant bring LucknowIPL back in contest.”
A Stellar Comeback by Lucknow’s Bowlers
Among the Lucknow bowlers, Mohammed Shami proved to be the most effective. He claimed 2 key wickets while conceding a mere 9 runs in his 4 overs. Due to these early setbacks, the SRH team found themselves under significant pressure.
Additionally, Prince Yadav claimed 2 wickets, while Digvesh Singh Rathi and Manimaran Siddharth took one wicket each.
Due to the fall of wickets in the final overs, the SRH team was unable to post a substantial total.
Towards the end of the innings, Harshal Patel was run out after scoring 4 runs off 2 balls, while Aniket Verma remained unbeaten on 2 runs.
The entire SRH team posted a total of 156 runs in 20 overs.
The outcome of the match will now depend entirely on the batting performance of the Lucknow Super Giants, who have been set a target of 157 runs for victory.
