In the 13th match of IPL 2026, the Rajasthan Royals registered a magnificent victory by defeating the Mumbai Indians by 27 runs.

Played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, this 11-over-per-side contest saw Rajasthan bat first and post a total of 150 runs.
In response, the Mumbai team could only manage to score 123 runs. The hero of the match was Yashasvi Jaiswal, who batted in a blistering fashion and single-handedly turned the tide of the game.
Jaiswal’s Explosive Batting Turns the Match Around
Rajasthan got off to an extremely aggressive start. Yashasvi Jaiswal played an unbeaten innings of 77 runs off just 32 balls, featuring 10 fours and 4 sixes.
His strike rate exceeded 240. Partnering him, Vaibhav Suryavanshi also displayed brisk batting, smashing 39 runs off 14 balls.
Together, the duo put immense pressure on Mumbai’s bowlers right from the opening overs. By the end of the 5th over, Rajasthan’s score had already crossed the 80-run mark.
Subsequently, Captain Riyan Parag contributed 20 runs off 10 balls, propelling the team to a formidable total of 150/3 in their allotted 11 overs.
For Mumbai, the only effective bowling performance came from Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, who claimed 2 wickets.
Shardul Thakur also picked up a wicket, but the remaining bowlers proved to be quite expensive.
Mumbai Indians’ Batting Collapses Completely
Chasing a target of 150 runs, the Mumbai Indians got off to a disastrous start. Ryan Rickelton was dismissed in the very first over, and a steady procession of wickets followed thereafter.
Rohit Sharma could only manage to score 5 runs, while Suryakumar Yadav departed early, having scored just 6 runs.
In the middle order, Tilak Varma scored 14 runs, and Captain Hardik Pandya could only add 9 runs to the total. The team remained under constant pressure, and the required run rate continued to climb.
Towards the end, Naman Dhir and Sherfane Rutherford managed to bat with a bit more urgency. Rutherford scored 25 runs off just 8 balls, but by then, the match was all but out of reach.
For Rajasthan, Nandre Burger, Sandeep Sharma, and Ravi Bishnoi delivered outstanding bowling performances.
Thanks to the precise line and length of these bowlers, the Mumbai team could only reach a total of 123/9 in 11 overs.
