The 65th match of IPL 2025 was held on 23 May 2025 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, where Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) scored a huge score of 231/6 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
The hero of this explosive innings was Ishan Kishan, who stunned the RCB bowlers with his stormy batting.

Kishan’s brilliant innings of 94 runs
RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first, but SRH’s Ishan Kishan changed the course of the game with his stormy batting.
Ishan smashed an unbeaten 94 off 48 balls, which included 7 fours and 5 towering sixes, at a strike rate of 195.83. He smashed the RCB bowlers, especially Yash Dayal (3 overs, 36 runs) and Lungisani Ngidi (4 overs, 51 runs), to every corner of the ground.
SRH was in trouble after Abhishek Sharma (34 runs, 17 balls) and Travis Head (17 runs, 10 balls) got out early in the powerplay, but Ishan held the innings together with a 48-run partnership with Heinrich Klaasen (24 runs) and a 43-run partnership with Aniket Verma (26 runs, 9 balls).
Despite the cheap dismissals of Nitish Kumar Reddy (4 runs) and Abhinav Manohar (12 runs), Ishan did not give up and along with Pat Cummins (13* runs) took SRH to a strong score of 231.
RCB’s tough challenge
The target of 232 runs is not easy for RCB. They have stalwarts like Virat Kohli, Phil Salt and Jitesh Sharma, but SRH’s bowling has bowlers like Pat Cummins, Mohammed Shami and Harshal Patel, who can trouble anyone.
Now it remains to be seen whether RCB will be able to chase this big score, or SRH’s bowling will stop them.
