India’s stand-in captain, KL Rahul, made a significant revelation ahead of the first ODI against South Africa.

Rahul described the positive atmosphere created in the dressing room with the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
How the dressing room gained tremendous confidence
Rahul stated clearly in the press conference,
“Their importance is huge. They make the dressing room feel a lot more confident. Winning is the most important thing. We are trying to forget what happened a week ago.”
This means that the entire team, forgetting last week’s Test series defeat, is now focused solely on victory. With Rohit and Virat’s presence, everyone feels that something big is about to happen.
KL Rahul was unabashed in his praise for Virat Kohli.
He said, “Taking singles is as important as hitting boundaries. That’s something Virat has done so well in his career. In the dressing room, we talk with him about how to improve. He is the master of ODI cricket. It’s good to have him back in the dressing room.”
Rahul believes that everyone can learn something from a player like Virat Kohli. Taking singles, building an innings, handling pressure, because Virat is number one in all of these.
The first ODI will be played in Ranchi on November 30th. Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer are out of the team due to injury, while Bumrah and Siraj have been rested. Ruturaj Gaikwad is returning to the ODI team after two years.
Rohit and Virat played well in the last ODI series against Australia, and now fans are waiting for them to make a splash at home. The remaining two matches will be played in Raipur and Visakhapatnam.
Team India wants to leave no stone unturned this time. With Rohit and Virat, there’s new enthusiasm and a new beginning. Now it remains to be seen how much excitement they create on the field!
