The Maharaja Trophy 2024 formally known as the Karnataka Premier League, is gearing up for its third season. Organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), this tournament has gained popularity and has built itself a significant loyal fan base.
Six teams will compete for the Maharaja trophy, with one of them eventually taking the trophy home.
On June 21, the KSCA hosted a launch event in Bengaluru and made an exciting announcement about the tournament’s return and its schedule after two very successful seasons.
The influential figures present were Raghuram Bhat, President of KSCA; BK Sampath Kumar, Commissioner of the Maharaja Trophy and Vice President of KSCA; Joint Secretary Shavir Tarapore; and Indian cricket legend E.A.S. Prasanna.
The Maharaja Trophy is considered one of India’s top-tier domestic tournaments, and it will include Karnataka’s elite players like Mayank Agarwal, Devdutt Padikkal, Manish Pandey, Vyshakh Vijaykumar, Krishnappa Gowtham, and Vidwath Kaverappa.
Maharaja Trophy 2024 Schedule
The 2024 edition of the KSCA’s Maharaja Trophy T20 (Karnataka Premier League) is scheduled to begin on Independence Day and will end with the title match hosted on September 1.
The Maharaja is organized in the memory of the late HRH Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, the former President of KSCA and Maharaja of Mysore.
