    Mumbai Indians Women defeated Delhi Capitals Women by 8 runs in the final of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 to become the champion.

    Harmanpreet Kaur’s (66 runs) strong batting and Natalie Sciver’s (3 wickets) lethal bowling led Mumbai to victory.

    Batting first, Mumbai Indians Women got off to a slow start, but Harmanpreet Kaur took charge.
    Her aggressive innings helped the team recover from a difficult situation and reach a challenging score.

    Natalie Sciver and Amanjot Kaur also made useful contributions, helping Mumbai reach a respectable score of 149/7. Delhi bowlers gave early setbacks, but Mumbai’s middle order made a brilliant comeback.

    Delhi Capitals’ innings: Sciver’s brilliance, Mumbai became champion

    Chasing the target, Delhi Capitals Women suffered setbacks in the beginning.

    Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma got out early, which put the team under pressure.

    Although Marijane Kapp and Jemima Rodrigues tried to handle the innings by forming a partnership, but Mumbai bowlers did not let them stay for long by bowling strategically.

    In the end, Delhi’s team could not reach the target despite playing the full 20 overs and was reduced to a score of 141/9.

    Harmanpreet Kaur’s captaincy innings and Sciver’s deadly bowling shattered the dreams of Delhi Capitals.
    Delhi needed 15 runs to win in the last overs, but Mumbai bowlers did excellent defense and made the team champion.
