Vaibhav played a brilliant innings of 33 runs in 42 balls in the fifth Youth ODI played against England Under-19 in Worcester.

Vaibhav told in a BCCI video, “Shubman sir continued batting even after scoring so many runs. I also wanted to play a long innings, but missed a shot, otherwise I would also have lasted for a long time.”

What happened in the match?
In Worcester, India Under-19 batted first and scored 210/9 in 50 overs. Vaibhav gave a solid start with three fours and two sixes, but was dismissed by Sebastian Morgan in the 15th over.
RS Ambris (66) and Kanishk Chauhan (24) then took over the innings. Rain interrupted the match, but Vaibhav’s innings once again proved that he is India’s future big star.
Habit of breaking records
Vaibhav had set the record for the fastest century in Youth ODIs by scoring a century off 52 balls in the fourth ODI. The funny thing is that he did not know about this record until the team manager told him.
