Former India Test star Cheteshwar Pujara has made a sensational claim, which is blowing the senses of cricket fans, in fact, he believes that after Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retire from Test cricket, the Indian team will become stronger and united.
He says that now the young players will get a golden opportunity to show their brilliance, and this new team will rock the field.

Why the emerging enthusiasm of young players
Virat and Rohit said goodbye to Test cricket in May 2025. After this, the selectors have selected a new, fresh and enthusiastic team for the England tour.
Pujara, who himself has played with legends like Sachin, Dravid and Laxman, believes that this era will write a new chapter for Indian cricket.
He said, “I have played with some of these young players. All of them together will take Indian cricket to new heights.”
Pujara said in an event of Sony Sports Network,
“These young players will now focus completely on winning. When there is a match between seniors and juniors, sometimes there is a slight difference in thinking.
But now this new team will play unitedly without any distinction of senior-junior. Everyone will have to support each other, and this will become their strength.”
Experienced players like Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant are still present in the team, who have done wonders in English conditions.
Pujara believes that these players will have to guide players like young star Shubman Gill. If everyone contributes together, then the result will be in India’s favor.
India A prepares for England tour
Before India’s main team, India A team will play a two-Test series against England Lions from May 30. Under the captaincy of Abhimanyu Easwaran, this team will prepare itself for the pitches of England.
Many key players will also be a part of this tour, so that they can be fully prepared for the five-Test match series.
