What Makes This Kid So Special

Suryavanshi broke records during the 2025 IPL season when he became the youngest centurion. His batting style reminded many cricket watchers of great players from the past.

The teenager also smashed the fastest century in Youth ODIs earlier this year. He scored 355 runs at an average of 71 during U-19 matches recently.

BCCI officials noticed his talent during the England tours, where he dominated bowling attacks. His performances convinced selectors that he deserves special attention and professional coaching.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi chosen for the BCCI training because cricket bosses see him as future captain material. They believe he can handle pressure situations that senior players face regularly.

    Special Training Program in Bengaluru

His childhood coach, Manish Ojha, thinks this training will change everything for the young batsman. Ojha has watched Suryavanshi grow from a local player into a national prospect.

“BCCI is looking ahead. The senior players are gradually retiring, and to fill that vacuum, the next batch of youngsters must be fully ready. This training for Vaibhav is part of that process. We pick boys one by one and prepare them accordingly for the demands of international cricket,” Ojha said.

The training program started on August 10 at BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Top coaches work with Suryavanshi on technical improvements and mental preparation daily.

BCCI designed this program specifically for the upcoming Australia tour challenges that the Indian teams face. They want him ready for fast bowling and bouncy pitches there.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi chosen for BCCI training partly because he struggles in longer formats sometimes. His T20 and ODI skills are already impressive, but Test cricket needs a different approach.

Coaches focus on building his patience and concentration for multi-day cricket matches. They teach him how to bat for long periods without losing focus.

    Preparing for India’s Cricket Future

With senior players planning retirement soon, the BCCI needs young talent ready to step up. Suryavanshi represents the next generation of Indian cricket stars who must fill big shoes.

The board invests heavily in promising youngsters like him to maintain India’s cricket success. They learned from past mistakes when talent development programs weren’t strong enough.

Cricket experts believe this focused training will help Suryavanshi become a consistent performer across formats.
