Rohit Sharma has retired from Test cricket. This star, who scored 4301 runs in 67 Tests, took this decision after the Australia series. Now his focus is on ODIs and Champions Trophy 2025.

Actually, India’s star batsman and captain Rohit Sharma has said goodbye to Test cricket. The 38-year-old told fans on Instagram,
“It was a matter of pride for me to play for the country in the white jersey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your love and support.I will continue to play for India in the ODI format.”

Fans got emotional after hearing Rohit’s announcement, but are also respecting his decision.
Rohit’s Test Career
Rohit’s Test career started in 2013 against the West Indies. He surprised everyone by scoring 288 runs in his very first series. He played many memorable innings with 4301 runs, 12 centuries and 18 half-centuries in 67 Test matches.
In 2019, he became the solid opener of the Test team and then took the team to new heights by becoming the captain in 2022.
India’s historic Test series win in Australia in 2020/21 and reaching the World Test Championship final in 2023 are the highlights of his career.

Recently, Rohit’s bat remained silent in the Test series against Australia. After scoring just 31 runs in three Tests, he kept himself out of the playing XI in the last Test.
