There has been a big change in India’s Test team, after the retirement of veterans like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, now young Shubman Gill is ready to become the new captain of the Indian Test team.

And if anyone is saying that Gill is ready for this role, then it is the team’s star spinner Kuldeep Yadav.
Kuldeep is confident that Gill is not only ready for captaincy, but he will take the team to new heights.
Kuldeep recently said, “Shubman knows how to lead the team. He has been talking a lot with Rohit Bhai, be it ODI or Test. He has learned a lot. Gill’s enthusiasm and his thinking make him a great leader. I have seen the same qualities in him, which are in senior players.”
The team will miss veterans like Rohit and Virat, but Kuldeep believes that this is a big opportunity for young players.
“When the seniors are not there, their absence is felt. But this is an opportunity for the youth to cement their place.
All the players are working very hard, especially the batsmen, who are getting ready for the difficult pitches of England.”
Kuldeep also told about the practice match between India and India A going on in England.
“The batsmen of both the teams played brilliantly. Shardul Thakur bowled brilliantly, and the senior fast bowlers also performed well. Overall, the mood of the team is tremendous.”
Will spinners get help?
The pitches of England have always been a paradise for fast bowlers, but Kuldeep feels that spinners can also get a chance.
“The sun has been shining for the last few days, and if the wicket remains like this, then spinners will get help. The ball was turning a little in practice. If this happens in the Test match as well, then it will be fun.”
Kuldeep also told that there was some moisture in the pitch on the first day, which benefited the seamers. But as the match progressed, the ball was bouncing and turning.
“Today, when I bowl on the third day, I will get a better idea of the pitch. But from what I have seen so far, it seems that spinners will also get a chance in the Test.”
It will be interesting to see what wonders this young Indian team will show in England under the captaincy of Shubman Gill.
Kuldeep’s confidence and the enthusiasm of the team tell that something big is going to happen.
