Former Indian fast bowler RP Singh has some important words for the BCCI. RP Singh’s advice to BCCI came after watching Mohammed Siraj bowl brilliantly against England recently. He wants the cricket board to take better care of Siraj’s health.

Siraj bowled amazingly well during the Test series and took 23 wickets for India. But RP Singh worries that too much bowling might hurt Siraj’s body badly. He thinks the BCCI should manage Siraj’s workload like Bumrah to keep him fit.
Siraj Works Really Hard For Team
Siraj was on fire during that last Test match at the Oval ground. He picked up nine English wickets and almost single-handedly won the match for India. The final margin was just six runs, which made everyone’s heart race.

He bowled over 185 overs in the series, which is a lot for any fast bowler. RP Singh’s advice to BCCI focuses on protecting Siraj from getting injured like other bowlers. Fast bowlers need proper rest between matches to stay healthy and strong. Too much bowling without breaks can cause serious problems for their bodies.
“Workload management will be crucial to prevent Siraj from getting injured in the future,” Singh said.
Bumrah Shows The Right Way
Jasprit Bumrah stayed fresh for important tournaments by taking planned breaks from cricket. The BCCI helped him rest during some matches to save energy. This smart planning helped Bumrah bowl brilliantly in World Cup matches later.
“Fast bowlers are at higher risk of injury when they play too many matches in a short time. His workload should be managed just like we did with Bumrah. It’s because of better workload management, Bumrah bowled brilliantly in both the ODI and T20 World Cups.”
RP Singh wants the cricket board to manage Siraj’s workload like Bumrah was treated. When Bumrah was away, Siraj became India’s main fast bowler automatically. This shows how important both these bowlers are for the Indian team.
“Siraj is also in the same league. To protect him from injuries, we need to seriously focus on his workload, sooner or later,” said Singh.
The former Indian pacer said Siraj deserves the same care that Bumrah receives. Both bowlers are equally valuable for India’s bowling attack in Test matches.
“Just like batsmen need partnerships, bowlers also prefer bowling in pairs. Bumrah tends to take more wickets, and his unique action troubles batters more,” RP Singh said.
“Siraj’s role is to build pressure from his end, and he does that very well. Their partnership has been special and has delivered great performances. When Bumrah is not in the team, Siraj automatically becomes our lead fast bowler.”
Smart Planning Needed Now
India will play against the West Indies in September with both bowlers available together. RP Singh’s advice to BCCI becomes more important before these upcoming matches start.

The cricket board must manage Siraj’s workload like Bumrah to keep both bowlers healthy. This careful planning will help India have strong bowling attacks for years ahead.
