Sourav Ganguly, fondly called Dada, is now going to do a new wonder in the cricket field.
The former India captain and ex-BCCI boss has been appointed as the head coach of Pretoria Capitals for the 2026 season of the SA20 League.

Pretoria Capitals made this announcement on Instagram on Sunday
“Prince of the Capital City is all set to bring regal flair to the Capitals camp! We are thrilled to announce Sourav Ganguly as our new Head Coach!”

This news came after former England batsman Jonathan Trott quit coaching a day earlier.
The franchise said for Trott, “Jonathan Trott, we’ll forever be grateful for your leadership and unwavering commitment to the team. All the best for your next adventure! Once a Capital, always a Capital!”
Ganguly’s cricket career has been great. After retirement in 2012, he has been the BCCI President, mentor of Delhi Capitals and cricket head of JSW Sports.
What is the plan for SA20?
The next season of SA20 will run from 26 December to 25 January, so that it does not clash with the 2026 T20 World Cup. Pretoria Capitals finished fifth last season, but the team is expected to get a big boost with Dada’s arrival.
Ganguly has worked with Delhi Capitals, which is a team of JSW Sports. That is, his experience will come in handy.
13 Indian players will take part in the SA20 auction, including names like Piyush Chawla, Siddharth Kaul and Dinesh Karthik.
Karthik played for Paarl Royals last year, and now the rest of the players are also ready to make a splash in South Africa.
