The T20 Mumbai League is not just cricket, but gives the young talent of Mumbai a chance to shine on the big stage. Players like Prithvi Shaw are showing this by making their mark on this platform.
As soon as Shaw raised his bat, the bowlers were blown away. Flicks over square leg, cover drives and many sixer-clean hits set the stadium on fire. By scoring a half-century in just 22 balls, he showed why he is such a big name in the world of cricket.
Thanks to his innings, the Panthers scored a huge score of 207 runs in the first innings. Along with this, Harshal Jadhav also gave a great support by scoring 46 runs in 30 balls.
But on the other hand, Triumph Knights were in a bad shape. Opener Siddhant Adhatharao fought to some extent by scoring 76 runs in 45 balls, but the rest of the batsmen flopped.
Suryakumar Yadav also scored 29 runs in 16 balls, but his team was all out for 169 runs.
As a result, Panthers won by a huge margin of 39 runs.
However, with just two wins out of five, Panthers finished fifth in the points table and were knocked out of the playoffs.
But Shaw’s innings was no less than a treat for the fans, which will be seen in highlights for weeks.
Now the league stage is over and the semi-final fun will begin at the Wankhede Stadium on June 10.
Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers, SoBo Mumbai Falcons and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals will clash for a place in the final.
Stars like Shreyas Iyer, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Orange Cap holder Suved Parkar are ready to shine more on this stage.
