    Former Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu has once again reacted in a light-hearted manner to his exit from the 2019 ODI World Cup and the subsequent decision of retirement.

    This retirement of Rayudu had become a matter of great debate in the cricket world at that time. Now his latest statement has again fueled this old controversy.

    Rayudu was not selected in the 2019 World Cup squad, even as a replacement for injured players. Frustrated, he tweeted “3 D glasses”, which went viral.

    His international career remained incomplete as he was dropped from the team due to poor form.

    Rayudu’s funny answer on retirement

    Actually, Recently, in an ESPNcricinfo show, a fan asked Rayudu why he retired so early, even though his average and strike rate were excellent.

    On this, Rayudu laughed and said that it is a long story, to explain which someone will have to stay with him for a week.

    Hearing his answer, everyone present in the show laughed. However, he pointed to the 2019 selectors, then captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri in his reply.

    This is not the first time that Rayudu has spoken openly on this issue, but this time his answer was in a humorous manner.

    Rayudu’s cricket career and record

    Ambati Rayudu scored 1,694 runs in 55 ODIs at an average of 47.06, which included 3 centuries and 10 half-centuries. However, he did not get a chance to play Test and could play only 6 matches in T-20.

    He proved his importance by scoring 602 runs for Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 IPL.
