Indian cricket star R Ashwin got really upset during a recent TNPL match. He argued loudly with the female umpire about her decision. The incident happened at SNR College Cricket Ground in Coimbatore city.

Ashwin was playing as captain for Dindigul Dragons against IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans. Everything seemed normal until the 5th over of the match.
R Sai Kishore bowled a ball that hit Ashwin’s leg. The female umpire, Kritika, raised her finger immediately. She gave Ashwin out LBW after he scored 18 runs.
But Ashwin didn’t agree with this decision at all. He felt the ball didn’t pitch in the right place. Cricket rules say some LBW decisions can be wrong sometimes.

Ashwin’s Frustration Over Female Umpire Becomes Heated
Ashwin started arguing with umpire Kritika right after her decision. He pointed at his leg and explained his side loudly. The cameras caught everything that happened between them both.
He told the umpire that the ball was pitched outside the leg stump. According to cricket laws, this would make him not out completely. Ashwin knew the rules very well as an experienced player.
The umpire listened to his complaints but didn’t change her mind. She stuck with her original decision despite Ashwin’s strong protests. This made Ashwin even more frustrated with the whole situation.
He walked back to the pavilion looking very angry indeed. Everyone could see how upset he felt about this decision.

Later, replay videos were shown on television screens everywhere. The footage clearly supported what Ashwin had been saying earlier. The ball really did pitch outside the leg stump area.
This made many cricket fans feel sorry for Ashwin online. They started criticizing the umpire’s controversial LBW in TNPL decision.
Some fans defended Ashwin completely in their posts and comments. They said the umpire made a clear mistake here. Other people criticized Ashwin for arguing so rudely with her.
Match Results and What Happened Next
Ashwin’s early dismissal really hurt his team’s batting performance badly. Dindigul Dragons collapsed completely after losing their captain so early. The team got bowled out for only 93 runs in total.

They finished their innings in just 16.2 overs played. Esakkimuthu bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets for 26 runs. Sai Kishore also grabbed 2 wickets in his spell nicely.
Tiruppur won the match very easily with 9 wickets remaining. Tushar Raheja played a fantastic knock of 65 runs unbeaten. He faced only 39 balls and hit many boundaries.
Unfortunately, Ashwin’s frustration over female umpire created lots of discussion everywhere. Some cricket experts supported his right to question wrong decisions. Others felt he showed disrespect toward the official on duty.
