The Indian cricket team attended a lavish dinner party at coach Gautam Gambhir’s residence in New Delhi.
This special occasion took place ahead of the second Test against the West Indies, which begins on Friday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The entire team arrived together on a bus, and all players were dressed casually.
While most players wore white, captain Shubman Gill stole the show with his distinctive style.

Team Looks Stylish and United at Gambhir’s Residence
Shubman Gill looked striking in blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and sunglasses. Other players, including Jasprit Bumrah, Dhruv Jurel, Axar Patel, KL Rahul, and Prasidh Krishna, displayed their simplicity in white.
Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate, bowling coach Morne Morkel, and BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla also attended the fun evening.
Varun Chakravarthy praised Gambhir, calling him “Spartan mentality!” and describing his strict coaching style as “ruthless.”
This dinner came after India defeated the West Indies by an innings and 140 runs in the first Test in Ahmedabad.
Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round performance, along with excellent bowling from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, led India to a big win.
KL Rahul (100), Jadeja (104*), and Dhruv Jurel (125) also helped India reach 448/5.
Preparations for the Delhi Test
Talking about the pitch for the upcoming Test in Delhi, it will initially be good for batsmen. It has black soil and some grass, which could assist fast bowlers. As the game progresses, spinners will also have opportunities.
Delhi last hosted a Test against Australia in 2023, where India won by six wickets in three days.
This dinner gave the players a chance to relax before the next match. This evening at Gambhir’s house was not just about food and drinks, but also an opportunity to strengthen the team’s unity.
