Rahul has been selected for the India A squad, where he will play under captain Shubman Gill. He has something to prove since he has been overlooked recently and wants to showcase his skills for the team.

He was not picked for the T20 World Cup 2024, which was a significant disappointment for him. After that, he returned to the national team for an ODI series against Sri Lanka but did not perform as well as he hoped.

He scored 31 runs in the first game against Sri Lanka and got a duck in the second, leading to him being dropped for the third match. Despite being a strong middle-order batter, he was replaced by Rishabh Pant.

With the Duleep Trophy and home season coming up, Rahul has a great chance to earn back the selectors’ trust. He wants to make a strong impact in the domestic circuit and secure his spot in the Indian XI for the Test series against Bangladesh.

Before the Duleep Trophy, he returned to practice and demonstrated his skills in a viral video, hitting a beautiful straight drive over the bowler’s head.

Rahul will be competing for a spot in the Indian Test team against Rishabh Pant. He is back in action and looking forward to his return in the Duleep Trophy 2024, having been India’s best keeper in Tests, often winning matches for the team.

Rahul wants to do well in the Duleep Trophy to impress the selectors. He has been outstanding for the India Team in Test matches and aims to keep up his form in the upcoming series.
