Two of Team India’s biggest stars, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, were seen sweating it out in the nets in Perth ahead of the ODI series against Australia. They practiced together, honing their understanding of the ball and their shots.
People are eagerly awaiting the return of this duo in action.

RevSportz Global shared their practice video on social media, which created a stir online.
Hectic preparations ahead of the first ODI
The Indian team arrived in Perth for the three-match ODI series, starting October 19th. Despite several flight delays, the players wasted no time and headed straight to the nets. Kohli and Rohit focused especially on their batting.
RevSportz Global wrote in its X post, “Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are practicing together in the nets ahead of the first ODI against Australia.”
In this video, the two were seen practicing in earnest, which doubled the excitement of the fans.
Rohit and Kohli last played for India in the Champions Trophy final in March 2025. Now, they are set to return to the difficult Australian pitches, where they are ready to showcase their class once again.
Kohli and Rohit on the verge of breaking records
Kohli and Rohit have the opportunity to break several records in this series. Virat Kohli is just one century away from breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most international centuries.
If he scores a century in this series, it will be his 52nd ODI century, surpassing Sachin’s record of 51 Test centuries. Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, needs just 10 runs to reach 1,000 runs in Australia.
If he does so, he will become the first Indian batsman to achieve this feat on Australian soil. Rohit has 990 runs in 19 innings there, including four centuries and two half-centuries.
Shubman Gill will make his ODI captain debut in this series. His captaincy, combined with the support of stars like Kohli and Rohit, could take him to new heights.
