The fourth day of the third Test between India and England at Lord’s in London on July 13 was such that the fans were left breathless.
Indian team’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Washington Sundar thrashed the England batsmen.
Both of them created a stir at Lord’s by uprooting the stumps of Brydon Carse and Ben Stokes.

IND vs ENG 3rd Test: India’s explosive bowling show
Washington Sundar used his spin magic in this match. He forced the big batsmen of England to kneel down.
First he sent giants like Joe Root and Jamie Smith to the pavilion, then clean bowled England captain Ben Stokes with one of his brilliant balls.
In the 55th over, Sundar bowled a full-length ball from round the wicket, which went under Stokes’ bat and took the stumps.
Stokes was out after scoring 33 runs off 96 balls. The interesting thing is that Stokes was out for 33 runs in the second innings for the third consecutive time in this series!
On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah also left no stone unturned. In the very next over, he bowled such a yorker to Brydon Cars that he did not get a chance to bring his bat down.
The ball hit the stumps directly, and Cars fell after scoring just 1 run. This ball was so fast that even the fans sitting in the stadium were stunned.
IND vs ENG 3rd Test: How were the commentators surprised?
On BBC Test Match Special, former England spinner Phil Tufnell praised Sundar’s bowling and said,
“This ball was a bit full and fast. Sundar can bowl such balls that go under the bat, and Stokes got caught in its trap.”
At the same time, Michael Atherton called Sundar a game-changer on Sky Sports and said,
“This moment is the turning point of the match. Sundar gave India a big success at tea time.”
IND vs ENG 3rd Test: England’s condition is weak
England’s team looked under pressure despite a lead of 182 runs. This pair of Sundar and Bumrah pushed the English batsmen on the backfoot.
Fans are now eagerly waiting to see if India will capitalize on this opportunity and win the match?
