The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) is Australia’s most prestigious women’s T20 league. It has been running since 2015, and its 11th season kicked off with a bang on November 9th.

Eight teams are playing: Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Sixers, Perth Scorchers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Thunder, Melbourne Stars, and Adelaide Strikers.
These teams share similar names to the men’s BBL, but this is a completely different game for women. Each season consists of 43 matches. Each team plays 10 matches, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs.
The winner of the Eliminator will play the second-placed team in the league stage in a “Challenger” match, with the winner securing the second spot in the final. The final will be played on December 13th.
The Melbourne Renegades won their first WBBL title last season by defeating the Brisbane Heat and are the current champions.
