There is a big uproar in the BCCI, Roger Binny, who is 70 years old, has left his post of president due to age limit.

Who will be the next boss?
According to India Today’s report, a secret meeting of the top leaders of the board will be held in the coming days, where the new president and vice-president will be finalized.
This meeting will be held before the Annual General Meeting to be held in Mumbai at the end of September. Only the top posts will be changed, the rest of the posts like secretary, joint secretary will be retained by the old people.
At present Devjit Saikia is the secretary, Prabhtej Singh Bhatia is the treasurer and Rohan Gauns Dora is the joint secretary. But the real fun is in the race for the president.
Rajiv Shukla, who is currently the vice-president and is playing the role of interim president, is leading.
Board sources have revealed that “Shukla is likely to remain as vice-president, but there is also a ’60-40 possibility’ of him becoming president.”
Meaning, there is a 60% chance that he will become the president, or take over the post of IPL chairman.
IPL’s new chairman change
A new chairman of IPL will also be elected, and here Anirudh Chaudhary is the hot favourite, who has previously been the treasurer of the board. Apart from this, Bengal’s Avishek Dalmiya is also in the race, who is in the IPL Governing Council.
The board can issue an official notice of its annual meeting in the next 2-3 days. This meeting will not only decide the direction of the election, but will also decide the power sharing in the board.
Meanwhile, BCCI has set new prices for Team India’s jersey sponsorship.
According to Cricbuzz, the base price has been kept at Rs 3.5 crore per match for bilateral series and Rs 1.5 crore for ICC or ACC tournaments.
This increase shows how much the market value of Indian cricket is going up. Jersey branding is the biggest deal in the world of sports.
