WPL 2025 Season: A Look Back

On 15 March 2025, the WPL final at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium featured a rematch between Mumbai Indians Women and Delhi Capitals Women.

Topping the table, DC called correctly at the toss and chose to field first. Mumbai posted 149 for 7, led by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s unbeaten 66 off 44, supported by Nat Sciver‑Brunt’s 30.

In reply, Delhi fought back but could only reach 141 for 9, with Marizanne Kapp scoring 40 and Jemimah Rodrigues 30.

The result: MI clinched an 8-run victory, earning Harmanpreet the Player of the Match award, and claimed their 2nd title. Delhi, despite topping all three editions, finished runners-up again.
