India’s recent T20I struggles have intensified after consecutive defeats against Ireland. England is defeating India decisively in the series with dominant performances overall. India is facing major squad restructuring for the next T20I cycle.

Multiple established players are underperforming and require permanent squad exclusion now. Management must prioritize building a settled squad for the Asia Games. Let’s understand which three important cricketers India should exclude permanently.
- Washington Sundar
Washington Sundar has been struggling with both bat and ball. He has failed to justify the continued backing from management. India requires much stronger all-rounders after repeated batting collapses. His batting impact has been completely limited throughout this series.
Strike rate not meeting expectations required for lower-middle-order batter role. Given an opportunity in an England T20I match but performed very poorly. Management should move on from Washington Sundar in T20Is.
- Prasidh Krishna
Prasidh Krishna has produced good performances in IPL occasionally. Impressed in some international cricket on certain occasions previously. Failed to deliver consistently over an extended period overall.
Frequently, runs leak during crucial phases of important T20 matches. Economy rate remains a very significant concern for selection. Faces strong competition from several other very talented Indian bowlers. India should move on from Prasidh Krishna in future cricket.
- Tilak Varma
Tilak Varma is considered the most surprising inclusion on this list. Serving as India’s T20I vice-captain under Shreyas Iyer’s leadership. Regarded as one of India’s brightest and young cricket talents. A leadership role should not guarantee selection in competitive cricket matches.
Struggled significantly during both the Ireland and England cricket series. Failed to score freely during the middle overs phase there. Could not convert promising starts into substantial cricket innings completely.
Sanju Samson has performed very well in World cricket tournaments. Samson deserves much greater consideration in the playing XI position. India possesses multiple good middle-order alternatives offering very tactical flexibility.
