India-Pak Duo Sparks Buzz in Nottinghamshire
Both of them not only performed brilliantly while playing for Nottinghamshire in England’s County Championship, but also won the hearts of the fans with their friendship.
The matter started when Ishan Kishan took a brilliant catch behind the stumps on Mohammad Abbas’s ball in the match against Yorkshire. After dismissing Yorkshire opener Adam Lyth on a golden duck, both of them celebrated fiercely on the field.
The video of this celebration and Abbas’s pictures with Ishan in his Instagram story went viral. The special thing is that all this happened amid the increased India-Pak tension after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which made this moment even more special.

Players from India and Pakistan have rarely been seen playing together in county cricket. This has happened only six times, such as Bishan Singh Bedi, Mushtaq Mohammad and Sarfaraz Nawaz playing for Northamptonshire in 1970.
Recently in 2022, Cheteshwar Pujara and Mohammad Rizwan played together for Sussex. Now the pair of Ishan and Abbas have added a new name to this list.
Ishan created a stir by scoring 87 runs in 98 balls in his county debut. At the same time, Abbas took one wicket for just 19 runs in 10 overs. This feat of both of them was discussed not only on the field but also off the field.
