Former Indian opening batter Shikhar Dhawan summoned by ED (Enforcement Directorate), is the talk of the town today. He has been summoned for questioning in a money laundering investigation. This suggests his link-up to an illegal online betting app known as 1xBet.

The investigation is linked to an online betting platform called 1xBet. The app allegedly used surrogate advertisements to gather funds from users.
Other Celebrities Who’re on ED’s Radar
The ED is also looking into other celebrities, including cricketer Suresh Raina and actor Rana Daggubati, who have been questioned in similar investigations regarding illegal betting.

Suresh Raina was questioned by the ED last month in connection with the same money laundering case. In July, actor Rana Daggubati was also questioned by the ED in Hyderabad.
The ED’s probe involves multiple cases of illegal betting applications that are reported to have defrauded investors of large sums and evaded tax obligations.
