“Gill has already been established as one of the biggest brands of Indian cricket. We are all aware that after Virat Kohli, the player who could be the biggest brand of Indian cricket, their poster boy, it would be Captain Shubman Gill,” Juglan said.
“Just like the broadcasters as well as the MRF had cashed in on Gill, RCB too wanted to cash in on this opportunity to acquire a player who could emerge as their next big thing. At that time, there was only one name, Shubman Gill,” he added.
