Yorkshire County Cricket Club announced the signing of Kuldeep Yadav. He joined as an overseas player for the rest of the season. Kuldeep missed multiple opportunities with the Indian national team. India lost the five-match T20I series 4-0. India also lost the ODI series 2-1 there.
Kuldeep did not play a single match. Despite being added to the squad, he was ignored. His omission drew powerful criticism from cricket experts there. Former England all-rounder Moeen Ali also attacked the India team.

I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of playing in English conditions, and after speaking with the management, I became really excited to join up with the team, and I’m looking forward to making a positive contribution during my time at Headingley.”
Yorkshire’s General Manager, Gavin Hamilton, welcomed Kuldeep’s arrival. Hamilton described Kuldeep as an accomplished international-quality cricketer.
“Kuldeep is an accomplished, international-quality player who will add incredible strength to our lineup for these blocks of fixtures. Given the dry summer we’ve experienced, we expect spin to play an important role during the closing stages of the season.
“Kuldeep gives us another dimension with his left-arm wrist spin and brings a wealth of experience at the highest level. We’re delighted to welcome him to Yorkshire,” Hamilton said.
