Rahul Dravid, who is often known for his calm and composed image, couldn’t hide his happiness even after this historic win.

After being invited to the stage by the players, Dravid let out a hearty laugh and went on to show how important this win was for him.

Sharing his feelings on the occasion, he said during a TNPL interview with Star Sports:

“It’s just coming up. You don’t plan these things.”You don’t think about these things. Most of the time, I try to control my emotions as a coach. You are expected to do that.”

To be honest, I was really happy for the team. I felt happy for all the players, the support staff and the many people who worked hard with me.

Dravid expressed his happiness and relief that the win was not just a tournament victory but the culmination of a long struggle.

“It’s not just this tournament. I have been in this tournament for the last two-and-a-half to three years. And we have come close to winning many times, “Dravid said in his interview.

According to him, the Indian team showed its potential in many important matches, but success went out of hand every time.

After the defeat in the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia and the World Test Championship final, this victory was a huge relief for the Indian team and Dravid.

Although Rahul Dravid’s tenure as coach is now over, his legacy will always be remembered in Indian cricket.
