Central Zone has defeated South Zone badly in the final of Duleep Trophy 2025 being played in Bengaluru.
At the end of the second day of the match, Central Zone lost 5 wickets after scoring 384 runs, and they have now taken a lead of 235 runs.

South Zone’s first innings was reduced to just 149 runs. Central Zone captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first, and this decision proved to be absolutely correct.
Talking about South Zone’s batting, Tanmay Agarwal scored the highest 31 runs, but the rest of the batsmen could not do much. Mohit Kale 9, Ricky Bhui 15, and Salman Nijar were out after scoring 24 runs.
Central Zone spinner Saransh Jain bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets, while Kumar Karthikeya took 4 wickets.
South Zone’s team was all out in just 63 overs, and their score was just 149.
Now Central Zone came to bat, and they played brilliantly. Danish Malewar scored 53 runs, Rajat Patidar scored a brilliant century, 101 runs! Yash Rathod is still at the crease with an unbeaten 137 runs.
The team scored 384 runs in 104 overs, and only 5 wickets fell. South Zone bowler Gurjapneet Singh took 3 wickets, but the rest could not make much impact.
This match now seems to be in the hands of Central Zone. If they add more runs on the third day, then the pressure on South Zone will increase further.
