The second semi-final of the Duleep Trophy 2025 is creating a stir in Bengaluru! West Zone gave a tough fight to Central Zone from the very first day. West Zone scored a strong score of 438 runs in 108 overs in their first innings.
Central Zone scored 229/2 in 67 overs in response, but they are still trailing by 209 runs. Day 2 ended at stumps, and Central Zone’s batting continues.
West Zone won the toss and chose to bat first, and their batsmen thrashed Central’s bowling.

Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant innings of 184 runs in West Zone’s batting. He troubled the Central bowlers by hitting 25 fours and 1 six in 206 balls.
Tanush Kotian scored 76 and captain Shardul Thakur scored 64 runs. Aryan Desai scored 39, Shreyas Iyer 25, and Shams Mulani added 18 runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (4) and Harvik Desai (1) were dismissed early. Tushar Deshpande played a quick innings of 18 runs, while Arjan Nagwaswala got out after scoring 3 and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja got out after scoring 1 run. 5 runs were scored in extras.

Among the bowlers of Central Zone, Saransh Jain and Harsh Dubey took 3-3 wickets. Khalil Ahmed took 2 and Deepak Chahar took 1 wicket. Yash Thakur and Shubham Sharma did not get any wicket. West Zone scored 438/10, which is a big target for Central.
In the batting of Central Zone, Danish Malevar scored 76 and Shubham Sharma scored 60 runs. Captain Rajat Patidar is unbeaten after scoring 47 runs, and Ayush Pandey was dismissed after scoring 40 runs.
Among the West bowlers, Arjan Nagwaswala and Dharmendrasinh Jadeja took 1-1 wickets. Shardul Thakur, Tushar Deshpande, Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian bowled but did not get any wickets.
