The first quarter final of the Duleep Trophy 2025 got even more exciting in Bengaluru, with North Zone putting East Zone on the backfoot by the end of Day 2.

North Zone finished their first innings at 405/10 in 93.2 overs, while East Zone’s innings folded for 230/10 in 56.1 overs.
At stumps, East Zone trailed by 175 runs. The run rate was 4.09, which is an amazing score on this pitch!
In North Zone’s batting, Kanhaiya Wadhawan played a brilliant innings of 76 runs, while Ayush Badoni hit 63 runs. Aaqib Nabi scored 44 runs and Arshdeep Singh played a quick innings of 12 runs, which included 2 sixes.
East Zone’s Manishi bowled brilliantly, taking 6 wickets, but also conceded 111 runs. Mohammed Shami and Jaiswal also took 1-2 wickets.

When East Zone started batting, Utkarsh Singh scored 40 and Virat Singh scored 68. Captain Riyan Parag played an innings of 43 runs, but Aaqib Nabi broke the back of East Zone by taking 5 wickets.
Harshit Rana took 2 and Arshdeep Singh took 1 wicket. East Zone batsmen collapsed under pressure, but the difference of 175 runs and the dominance of North Zone can put them in trouble.
On the third day, North Zone will try to increase their lead, while East Zone needs a big score.
